Ireland trip 2015

Friday 17th April 2015. Finally the day arrived. We were all extremely happy expecting to go onto the plane for to reach Dublin. There, we were nicely welcomed. Irish people are very pleasant. The first days we visited a lot of interesting places. We went to some museums where we saw how Ireland was in the ancient’s times. Studies abroad: IRELAND

Ireland was exactly as we expected it to be, all covered in green and a bunch of houses spread all over the fields. Immediately after arriving to the enormous and isolated school, lots of people from different nationalities approached us, curious about the new Spanish. The affection with which we were welcomed made all of our fears disappear, there was nothing to be afraid of, everyone there was much nicer than we could have wished.

Throughout the year we became a big loving family replacing the one we didn’t have near us but not for this, forgetting about them. Not being with our loved ones was hard and the feeling of homesick was usually present, however this didn’t stopped us from making the most of every minute and enjoying every new experience!

Even though, not everything was that good. It was always raining, even in summer, and wearing three pairs of jumpers was a must to fight back December’s freezing cold.
Besides that, the worst thing was the farewell. Having to say goodbye to those friends, knowing that we wouldn’t see most of them again but hoping the relationship could make it through the long distances, was heartbreaking.

Looking back to that time, we realize how lucky we were to have the chance to live this great adventure and that’s why we invite you to try it too.

RUTA QUETZAL
